Fluoramics’ HinderRUST line of products combines surface film management to stop corrosion with Tufoil Technology to provide lubricity. As a result, HinderRUST products are not only great rust inhibitors but also excellent lubricants.
Tufoil Technology includes the elements engineered for Tufoil in the 1970s only after many years in the laboratory and the issuance of 11 U.S. patents. These technologies include the science of wetting and adhering to a piece of metal, and permanent suspension of friction-reducing particles within substrates in order to achieve extreme lubricity.
The extreme surface adhesion and aggressive wetting of HinderRUST means it maintains contact with metal surfaces, allowing it to migrate over the surface and wet into voids and crevasses. HinderRUST uses no solvents and remains fluid to keep from cracking or chipping.
This thin film technology is extremely surface-active and bonds to metal at the atomic level. This allows HinderRUST to remain mobile and to self-repair if the coating is scratched or compromised. The chemistry penetrates through to the base metal and creates a barrier against moisture and oxygen.
Because not all corrosion protection needs are the same, Fluoramics has engineered a full product line to meet the needs of many industries.
HinderRUST R2.0 – The Rust Protector: This version is engineered to provide temporary surface protection. HinderRUST R2.0 provides temporary surface protection for metal parts after fabrication, or during storage and transportation. The chemistry can be removed with a mild solvent or water stream to allow for final fabrication and finish coatings.
