Use LOX-8 on Aerospace Fuel and Oxygen Systems

LOX-8 Thread Sealant and LOX-8 Lubricant play a critical role in aerospace operations world-wide. Not only is LOX-8 used to prevent leaks in liquid and gaseous oxygen, it is also used in fuel systems and with rocket fuels such as kerosene and hydrogen.
LOX-8 is specifically engineered to remain stable in extreme temperatures and pressure, and will not be attacked by harsh chemicals. It is specifically formulated for wet and dry conditions and is non-migrating, remaining where it is applied. Being that it is non-flammable, non-toxic, non-hardening, and is anti-galling with stainless steel, it provides superior performance as a lubricant and sealant. LOX-8 is stable from -400° F to +550° F and is certified for use in gaseous and liquid oxygen.
LOX-8 Thread Sealant and LOX-8 Lubricant:
- Have been tested by BAM and WHA International for use with oxygen
- Are used by aerospace companies throughout the world
- Prevent galling in stainless steel fittings and may be used on both metal and plastic fittings
- Are NSF-approved for use in food processing and handling facilities
- Extend service life of equipment used in fuel systems
- Seal fine threads in high / low pressure and cryogenic systems
- Are compatible with rocket fuels such as kerosene and hydrogen
- Are resistant to shock, vibration, and vapor loss in a vacuum during high altitude, orbit, or deep space flight
LOX-8 Thread Sealant is Praxair GS 38 approved. NSN 8030-00-829-3928. MIL-PRF-27617G.
LOX-8 Lubricant is available as NLGI 00 and NLGI 2, and provides long-term lubrication on valves, pumps, and gears. MIL-PRF-27617G.
