I just wanted to say how happy I am to have found you. I havent been able to locate your product for years, but with gas prices as they are now, well I guess I looked a bit harder this time.


The first time I used Tufoil was in my 1972 Dodge 4X4. It got 7 mpg. After putting it in the engine I noticed the rpm went from 700 at idle to 2200. I had to readjust it. The fuel economy went from 7 to 9, then I tried it in the transfer case and differentials, it went from 9 to 13mpg and it just seemed to run much smoother. The truck had 350000 miles on it when I traded it on a new one.


I used it in a number of other vehicles, 1974 Chrysler-went from 14 mpg to 19 mpg and 525,000 miles before the body rusted out. I also had a number of 1982-1990 Dodge 15 pax vans we used for airport transportation. They averaged 12-14 mpg before tufoil, 15-18mpg after. One went at 250,000 miles (the driver kept driving after it blew a radiator hose and ruined the engine after 50 miles) the rest did 500,000+ miles, and one went 860,000 miles and we drove it to the junkyard still running fine.


Not being able to find your product I tried a number of others, I didn't notice any changes in the way the vehicles ran.

After using and selling Tufoil for 18 years I felt that I had to write to you both about your excellent product. I'm in my 20th year of running a 3 bay auto repair shop. In my second year I was introduced to Tufoil by my local supplier (already having read about Tufoil before, but was not available in my area I did not hesitate to buy it for my vehicles and to offer it to my customers).


Right from the beginning we observed the changes after about a week. After doing only oil changes and adding Tufoil the engines would idle at a good 200 rpm more than before (with carburetors at that time the idle would have to be readjusted, now a days the car's computer does it automatically for us so we and the rest of the public do not notice this change any more).


We have 90 to 95% of our customers using Tufoil; all satisfied and when they change cars they automatically ask us to put Tufoil in their new or used automobile that they just bought.


Many of our customers' vehicles are over 10 years old and have from 250,000 km to 350,000 km in them.


I see other garages in our neighborhood changing engines regularly compared to us it only happens once every 8 years or so and usually it is a new client's engine which had not been treated with Tufoil.


HERE ARE SOME MORE QUICK TRUE STORIES OVER MY YEARS WITH TUFOIL!


One of our courtesy cars has over 480,000 km on it with the original engine; hardly takes oil between oil changes and the manual transmission (also original) has no bearing noises and now grinding syncromeshes. Another one has over 300,000 km and has the same story, (I'm sure the bodies will let go before).


About 12 years ago we did only an oil change with 8 ounces of Tufoil on a Hyundai Sonata with an automatic choke carburetor. A couple days later the customer phoned me to say that the car would fast idle on cold start at about 3300 rpm instead of 2500 rpm. We verified all and had to bring down the cold fast idle. That's an amazing difference of friction at cold!


We've had 3 vehicles run DRY on oil (BMW's and a PORSCHE 928) with 150,000 to 250,000 km's on them and driving an average of 4 to 8 km. After repairing broken oil pans, etc, the engines never took more oil or would knock at cold or hot.


I have customers telling me they notice their engines run smoother and take less fuel.

As per our telephone conversation a few days ago regarding my opinion about Tufoil Engine Treatment I thought you would like it in writing.

In a few words let me tell you about my experience with Tufoil Engine Treatment.

In February 1996, I purchased a 1995 GMC 3500 1 ton Vendura cargo van, with a 6.5 Litre diesel engine, from Georgian Pontiac in Barrie, Ontario. It was brand new.
To this day I still drive this van. I'v ealways used it for my small distribution business. This past week it turned over 790,000 kilometres [490,883 miles]. Yes, Seven Hundred and Ninety Thousand killometres. And the engine has never had any major repairs done to it. The heads have never been removed. Based on what I have been told by former owners of 6.5 Litre diesel engines and service personnel at Georgian Pontiac, the average life span of 6.5s is usually around 300,000 kilometres [186,411 miles] at best.

Well, I have 790,000 kilometres on mine and I am aiming at 1,000,000 kilometres. It still runs so well that I am confident I will see the 1,000,000 kilometres. I have used Tufoil Engine Treatment from the day I did my first oil change on this engine. Every 5,000 kilometres I have changed the oil in my engine and always added an 8 ounce bottle of Tufoil Engine Treatment each time.
And I am truly convinced that Tufoil Engine Treatment has played a major role in reaching such high mileage with my engine.
There is no doubt in my mind that the use of Tufoil Engine Treatment has been a major contributing factor for the long life of my 6.5 diesel.

I also use Tufoil Engine Treatment in my family vehicle, my daughter uses it in her car, and so does my father-in-law in his.

It was indeed a pleasure to speak with you today – especially in recalling our conversations of over 13 years ago when I was about to write an article for an organization called the ZR-1 Registry regarding state-of-the-art lubrication. I remember featuring Castrol Syntec as the oil of choice and strongly recommending the use of Tufoil – a product I had used since the mid 1980's. Therefore, here is my testimonial. Although it dates back over nine years – I believe it is extremely relevant to this day.

In June of 1992, I purchased a new 1992 ZR-1 Corvette – which as you may recall featured a GM first – a production dual overhead cam V8 called the LT-5, designed by Lotus Engineering and assembled by Mercury Marine. The engine displaced 5.7 liters and produced 385 BHP – which at the time was considered a real beast. In late 1996, I was determined to have the engine significantly upgraded and by early 1997, with over 48,000 miles, I had the LT-5 removed and shipped to an engine builder in Minnesota. Once there, they tore the motor down in order to replace the pistons, rods, crank, valves and numerous other components necessary to increase the displacement. As it turns out, ordinarily, all these removed components – especially with this mileage – are typically discarded. However, because I had been using Tufoil since the motor had 5,000 miles, the engine builders found that all the removed engine components were in "as good as new" condition – and clearly because of their honesty, accordingly issued me a credit of several thousand dollars. I unquestionably attribute this significant cost savings to Tufoil.

Just a note to let you know how pleased I am with the use of your product Tufoil. I am in the sewing machine repair and sales of home and commercial units. I find the machines run smoother for a longer period of time using Tufoil. I also use Tufoil in my 2000 and 2005 Toyota Avalon's. My 2000 runs whisper quiet and is silky smooth no matter how hard I push it. I also noticed my 05' shifts into 5th gear at 47 MPH instead of 50 MPH- after adding Tufoil. My gas mileage in the 2000 remains at 22-24 City and 28-30 Highway. On the 05' mileage is 26-28 City and 33-36 Highway. I've checked with the computer more than once to be sure I'm correct. I've used Tufoil for more than fourteen years in all my cars. Thank you for your interest.

Dear Sirs,

Please add this to my letter sent in a few weeks ago - This evening I went to my grandson's softball practice. My son drove my 05' Avalon. When we got out my son never cut off the engine. I never noticed this. For one and half hours the engine was on. When we returned and realized the engine was still running, I looked at the temperature gauge and it was still on the low marker. The engine is always very quite and even after this long idle, there is no after effects. I feel Tufoil saved my engine. Thank you.

Dear Greg,

Use of Tufoil in Wairarapa Electricity's Kourarau Hydro plant

Powerflow Ltd were recently commissioned to complete the annual major maintenance at Kourarau 'A' and 'B' hydro stations owned by Wairarapa Electricity. This involved a partial strip down of the 'A' station turbine and bearing maintenance and in 'B' station a shaft and bearing re-alignment.

The Hydro Plant

The plant consists of a 700kW twin jet twin runner Pelton wheel at 'A' station and a 220kW twin jet single runner Pelton wheel at 'B' station. These were installed when the station was built in the early 1920's. Both have large flywheels and direct drive to 3500v alternators. There are four large heavily loaded ring oiler plain white metal bearings to each turbine alternator system ranging in size from 100 to 200mm diameter. The two turbine bearings have their oil reservoirs cooled by copper coils conveying water from the turbine penstock.

As all bearings were being drained, flushed and filled with new oil it was decided to add Industrial Tufoil to all 8 oil reservoirs. It has now been two months since the Tufoil was added and the plants put back online. As most of the bearings are still original from the time of installation and some are getting close to their tolerance limits, it is imperative to keep further wear to a minimum.

Results of Addition of Tufoil

The most dramatic result has been the very significant reduction in bearing temperatures both in the turbine and alternator bearings. Having been familiar with the temperatures prior to the addition of Tufoil at around 30 to 45 degree C, I was extremely surprised when I went back to the plant and found the temperatures had dropped to around 20 to 25 degrees, just barely warm. Our estimates are that we are saving in the order of 2 to 3 kw in bearing friction alone per plant and the subsequent reduction in wear is likely to see the plant perform many more years of faithful service.

Apart from just bearing temperatures there are two characteristics that can indicate a reduction in bearing friction in plants of this size. They are (1) ease with which the plant can be turned over by hand after shutdown and (2) the amount of water required to get the turbine spinning from start-up. In both instances the comments from plant operators have been that the turbines can be turned over more easily by hand and require a much smaller opening of the main needle valves to start the turbines spinning from rest. In the past, 'A' station would require 2 people at least just to move the turbine shaft and now this can be achieved with one person. A similar result has been achieved at 'B' station.

With such a successful result with the turbine and alternator bearings it is now intended that the oil in the hydraulic governors should also be treated with Tufoil and this is anticiped to further reduce maintenance and make significant cost savings. I look forward to being able to report on positive results from the governor treatment and only wish I had taken more specific temperature readings before adding Tufoil so I could have given you exact figures for the temperature reduction.

As you have requested, I am writing this letter regarding my introduction to TUFOIL and the effects on our various engines.

Approximately fifteen years ago, I had added eight ounces of Tufoil to my car while I was attending an automotive school and the results were quite impressive. The engine was running perfectly before adding Tufoil and afterwards it ran smoother, quieter and had better acceleration. Within twenty minutes of the addition of Tufoil to the engine, the idle speed of the engine increased one hundred RPM. After lowering the idle by restricting fuel to the engine, I realized that significant fuel savings could be realized as well as a reduction in engine wear. I started testing Tufoil on various automobiles and diesel engines in cranes and generator sets. For the most part, all the cars showed improvement in acceleration, engine noise, idle quality, lube and fuel consumption.

Meeting with much skepticism, I started testing on diesel engines that exhibited high oil consumption and excessive crankcase pressure. Generally the feeling was that it couldn't hurt so why not give it a try. The first engine I tested was a Detroit Diesel series 353 engine in a Grove crane that was blowing the dip stick out of the tube and spraying oil everywhere. It was determined that the unit had to come out of service for an overhaul but I convinced my superiors at the time to give Tufoil a try. After changing the oil and filters I added 10% Tufoil to the crankcase oil and ran the engine for twenty minutes. The crane was operated over the weekend and Monday morning we went out to see if there were any changes in the engine. The operator noted that it started much quicker than he could remember. While he ran the engine at full throttle, I pulled the dipstick out and put my face in front of the tube. I then turned and looked at my boss and asked if he could see any oil. He didn't. The crane ran fine for seven more years and was removed and overhauled only after a bad fly wheel necessitated removal of the engine. Since that time, I was approached more frequently to give it a try and time after time we saw impressive results.

The largest Detroit Diesel engine, the 16-149 had similar results delaying an overhaul in a tug boat over one year allowing us to schedule it at a more convenient time. We now have 149 engines running over 30,000 hours with oil consumption meeting OEM specifications for new engines. Presently, RTC operates 15 tugboats and all have Tufoil either in there reduction gears or engines. We presently operate the electronically controlled Detroit Diesel 149 DDEC engines with Tufoil and expect to reach all time record high hours between overhauls.

Most advertised oil additives are full of empty promises and that fuels the skepticism that additives are a waste of money and can be harmful to your engine. I recommend Tufoil wherever you need to get longer engine or equipment life as well as lower fuel consumption. If your still a skeptic, try using Tufoil where you have nothing to loose, you never know. You might be impressed!

Dear Greg,

Just a few comments to express our satisfaction with TUFOIL.

We race a Speedway Super Saloon, Chevrolet small block, large displacement engine, developing over 700 horse power, with high torque figures. The previous season when racing had finished, the engine was dismantled and found to have a large amount of wear, so much so it was necessary to rebore the block and regrind the crank.

The engine was reassembled with lower compression pistons, leaving us with a 13.2 ratio. We were still worried that the same thing may happen to the engine this season, we looked at changing the oil brands but felt that the oil we were using should still do the job, and perhaps an additive would be the best way to go. After speaking to other competitors, we decided on TUFOIL.

Our race car using Methanol fuel, gets a small amount of fuel pollution in the oil, so the oil was changed every four meetings and TUFOIL was added. After this season, when dismantled, the engine was found to have no wear, in fact we could have reassembled it and run it again, and that's after thirty meetings of hard racing. Lowering the compression would have helped, but I'm sold on TUFOIL, as this played a major part.

An interesting thing we noticed was the oil temperature, which had always been around 200 degrees, was now around 180 degrees with TUFOIL, telling us straight away that we had less friction.

I began using Tufoil at 39,500 miles in November 1989. Since then we have enjoyed this 1988 Jeep Cherokee on (6) Jeep Jamborees plus three (3) other off-road events. All the while it served as my business vehicle as I sold long-term life insurance and recruited agents across the mid-south. Many weeks saw over 1000 miles traveled. In 2000 my daughter and her husband-to-be loaded the largest U-Haul trailer they could find which we, using this Cherokee, towed from Nashville to St. Paul, Minnesota, where she attended school for one year; my wife just "knew" we would break down any minute and be stranded but the Tufoil trained engine purred ahead with never a miss and returned us safely to Nashville showing over 400,000 miles on the odometer. The Jeep now has over 565,000 miles and completed another business trip to the mountains of North Carolina during the recent winter weather.
