CHEM-8 is a great lubricant where sophisticated chemicals are packaged, or where corrosion or rusting is a problem. It is especially suitable for mechanical instruments such as hinges, where repeated autoclaving is required.

As a thread sealant, CHEM-8 works particularly well for high pressure gases except fluorine and oxygen. Try CHEM-8 as a pipe joint sealer for aqueous systems like water systems, steam lines, and acids (except HF and alkali). It is waterproof, effective to 300°F, and chemically inert. CHEM-8 stays put and lasts indefinitely.

Use CHEM-8 in:

• vacuum systems
• instrument threads
• mechanical instruments
• high vapor pressure applications

CHEM-8 is recommended for aluminum against aluminum surfaces. It is not recommended for alkali, fluorine or HF environments.
